REVIEW: Taming The Storm by Samantha Towle

Taming the Storm (The Storm, #3)Taming the Storm by Samantha Towle
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Read in 2014

A dual POV book.

Tom, the cocky bandmate and friend of Jake from The Mighty Storm. Man slut and he wears it well. Becomes the tour manager for a newly signed band with a female lead singer.

Lyla, unfiltered, passionate and determined to keep Tom at arms length. She's a firecracker.

I fell in love with Tom in the first two books of this series and now, I love him even more with his fight for Lyla. These two cracked me up and gave me FEELS.

While this can be read as a stand alone, I would suggest reading the series in order.

REVIEW: Sharing You by Molly McAdams

Sharing You (Sharing You, #1)Sharing You by Molly McAdams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Read in 2014

Let me start by saying I love Molly McAdams and loved, loved Capturing Peace. I wasn't prepared for this story about Brody and Kamryn at first and actually read the book twice. See, Brody's in a loveless marriage and I happen to think his wife is crazy and that he should have left her a LONG time ago but alas, because he's married, I guess you could say this love triangle is also an adulterous one. When I finished the first time, I was angry at Brody for not trying harder with Olivia. But when I read the book a second time, I realized that sometimes staying in a marriage out of obligation because you want to help someone isn't what is always best for you or for them.

I don't normally even fathom reading book triangles that have adultery in them... don't know why, it's just not my thing, I still would recommend this book to everyone.

Don't rust through the book though. Read it, read between the lines, and try to understand where Brody is coming from. Where Kamryn is coming from. Even Olivia. I still loathe Olivia though. In the end, the book is worth it. It moved me, it got me thinking, and in the end, I was entertained.

REVIEW: One Night: Promised (The One Night Trilogy Book 1) - Jodi Ellen Malpas

Promised (One Night, #1)Promised by Jodi Ellen Malpas
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Read in 2014.

Are you a fan like I am of The Lord of the Manor? Well, get ready for a man who is even more Alpha than he is. He is OCD driven and has to have "his thing".

The first of a Trilogy and it ends in a cliffhanger so be prepared. It helps that the rest of the series is out now unlike when I read this and had to wait for each additional book (the wait was WORTH it though)

This is the story of Olivia and "M". Both with their own demons their fighting and while I had my suspicions about "M"'s occupation, I still ended up shocked when Olivia figures it out and tah-dah - cliffy.

This is a great start to the trilogy. Olivia's backstory helps you to understand a bit ab out why she is why she is. Her grandmother is a witty and spry elderly lady whom I would love to know in person.

I couldn't put my finger on "M" through the first half of the book... something was egging me on and then when it hit me at how after the chocolate in the kitchen and Olivia had fallen asleep he just had to go make the kitchen spotless, I was like --- OCD much and yup... he is. Very. He's demanding, very Alpha, and has caring moments... the book had me captivated and when it ended in the cliffhanger, I was like --- GAH! I NEED THE NEXT PART NOW.
